Saxophonist Shauli Einav is at the forefront of NYC s Jazz scene. He has played on prestigious stages such as the Red Sea Jazz Festival, Rochester Jazz Festival, Smalls, the Knitting Factory and the Tel Aviv Jazz Festival. Though deeply rooted in be-bop and post-bop, he aims to take jazz in new directions by combining the musical jargon of his Mediterranean heritage with the traditional western jazz standard form. Opus One proves that Shauli has come a long way from being just another bebop virtuoso this, his first opus, is composed of the music tattooed on his soul from twenty-seven years of life.
